From Prosecutor to Defense Attorney

Ian Seitel began practicing law in January 1980 as a prosecutor with the Broward State’s Attorneys Office, where he spent his final year in the Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking Unit. Those five years showed him how the State investigates, prepares, and tries a case.

In 1985, he opened our practice. Since then, we have defended people facing criminal charges, represented people hurt in accidents, and tried more than 100 cases.

    Criminal Defense Experience

Our criminal defense work ranges from misdemeanors to first-degree murder cases involving the death penalty. Ian’s years as a prosecutor help us see a case the way the State will present it, so we can look closely at the evidence and plan your defense.

    Personal Injury Representation

We represent people hurt in car accidents, falls, and attacks on poorly secured property. We handle the insurance company and the paperwork, and our personal injury practice has won hundreds of thousands of dollars in settlements for injured clients.

What kinds of cases do you handle?

We handle criminal defense, personal injury, and civil injunctions against domestic violence. Criminal cases include domestic violence, drug charges, theft, misdemeanors, and serious felonies. Injury cases include automobile accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, and incidents involving inadequate property security.

Is the consultation free?

Yes. You can discuss your situation with us and ask about your options during a free consultation. Call (954) 524-1127 to get started.

Can I call for someone in my family?

Yes. If someone you love has been arrested or injured, you can contact the office to ask how we may be able to help.

What should I have ready when I call?

Start with what happened and what you need help with. If you have court paperwork, an accident report, or letters from an insurance company, mention them when you call. The office can let you know what information is needed.

What does it cost to hire your firm?

On personal injury cases, you don’t pay unless we win. For criminal cases, the fees depend on the type of case, and we will explain them during your free consultation.

Where do you practice?

We represent clients throughout Florida and nationwide. Contact the office to ask about representation for your location and type of case.

Does contacting the office make you my lawyer?

No. Contacting the office or having a consultation does not, by itself, establish an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins after you and our firm agree to it.

Can I send details about my case through the website?

Keep your message brief and leave out confidential or sensitive information. The office can explain how to provide the information needed to discuss your case.
